STEEP CANYON RANGERS
Working through Image 420, I collaborated with the Grammy-winning bluegrass band Steep Canyon Rangers to design apparel and merch that reflected their signature blend of traditional roots and modern edge.
The goal was to create pieces that felt alive- something that could visually translate the band’s energy and storytelling into visual art.
This project came through my role as a designer at Image 420 in Asheville, NC, where I collaborated with the Grammy-winning bluegrass band Steep Canyon Rangers on a series of tour and retail merchandise.
Over multiple releases, I developed illustration-driven designs that blended vintage Americana with bold, hand-inked energy — capturing the band’s mix of roots tradition and modern rhythm. From shirts and hoodies to limited-run poster art, each piece was designed to feel alive, like the music itself.
Working closely with the Image 420 print team, I translated detailed textures and layered color separations into screen-ready artwork. The result was a collection of merch that resonated with fans on the road and online, becoming part of the band’s ongoing visual identity.
